Roz Healey does us proud at the Warrington 10K running event

On Sunday (16th September 2018), our very own Roz Healey took part in the English Half Marathon & 10K running event around the centre of Warrington. It was her very first 10K event so she was understandably nervous but proud to be running as part of the Warrington Worldwide team raising funds for the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Foundation. Her aim was to raise as much money as possible and be able to run the whole course without stopping, which she did!

Roz said "I'm still buzzing and absolutely loved the event. It was very emotional and I had a lump in my throat when
running through the site of the Warrington bombing. I was happy to be in the Warrington Worldwide team, supporting the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Foundation.".

Sophy Bostock also came to the event as Roz's support team and said "The event was fantastic and put together extremely well. Roz did an absolutely spectacular job, couldn't be prouder of her. It made having to get up at 7.00am worth it, to see her cross the Golden Gates finish line!"

She achieved a time of 1 hour 7 minutes which is a great result for a first timer! Well done Roz, we’re so proud of you! If you’d like to support Roz in her fundraising efforts it’s not too late to donate online. Not far to go to reach the £5,000 target!
